Renaming "Troopergate" to "Scumbaggate"
I’ve yet to chat on “troopergate,” so let’s start with facts.
- Gov. Palin’s sister, Molly was married to AK state trooper Mike Wooten
- They’re now divorced, making this Wooten’s 3rd marriage. He’s since been married and divorced again. (I’ll take $20 on the black four, please.)
- Mike Wooten admits to tazering their 11-yr. old son.
- Gov. Palin and her family allege Mike Wooten threatened to kill Gov. Palin’s father.
- Mike Wooten admits to shooting a moose illegally. (Big deal in those parts.)
- Gov. Palin asked his boss’ boss’ boss’ Walter Monegan to resign his post as Public Service Commissioner after he went to Washington DC and asked for money for AK that Palin repeatedly asked him not too. Monegan admits this and other insubordinate actions while he served at the pleasure of the Governor.
- Media-named “scandal” troopergate seeks to investigate the Gov. Palin and her husband, Todd, to see if they asked Monegan to sack Wooten. Even though Wooten denies them ever asking him to do so.
- Mike Wooten is still a state trooper in AK.
- Mike Wooten allegedly drank in his police car. He denies this.
This whole deal has been crucified in the press. The Wall Street Journal calls the 130+ Democrat attorneys who’ve descended on AK to investigate this matter a “bloodsucking army.”
In the meantime, the investigation is being led by 3 Dem State Senators supporting Obama (photo of the three at an Obama office posing behind the Obama lecturn) and the chair of the Republican Party in AK told FOXNews 9/19/08 “she [Gov. Palin] upset a lot of state Republicans by calling for the resignation of Republican office holders in the need to drive out unethical activity.”
American Girl’s take - besides Keith Olbermann and B.H. Obama, Governor Sarah Palin has scared the Chivas out of Democrats and Republicans who have an axe to grind with her for ripping their corrupted moneybelts off their moose-laiden waists.
At the heart of the argument is Mike Wooten. From his only interview - given to CNN - he’s a bad, bad guy. I have a brother-in-law and if I learned he tazed my nephew, I would stop at nothing to make him pay. It’s a kid for crying out loud! Where the hell is the outrage for a parent, who admittedly hurt his kid with a device used by police departments to stop adult criminals!
Frankly, I don’t care if any Palin or Heath sought to get Mike Wooten canned. He’s a scumbag and still lucky to have a job.

This is the only one that includes the full interview, but warning - don’t yak when the first sight you see is Campbell Brown. (I really wish she would have stuck to shaking cocktails on the Today Show where her talents could be used to their full potential.)
