The Imbalance of Standards

McCain speaks at NAACP event. Does this mean he wants the federal government to provide college tuition to every black kid in America?

American Girl typically enjoys Michelle Malkin’s research and writing, but today’s article on John McCain’s involvement in ACORN is misleading and ripe for left-wing negative interpretation.

Malkin’s piece outlines that John McCain spoke at an immigration event in South Florida back in February 2006 that was sponsored by many groups - ACORN among them. Malkin believes McCain’s involvement in the event is an approval of ACORN’s activities. ACORN actions include a variety of bullying and intimidation tactics in all things from making banks give loans to poor folks who couldn’t afford them, bullying hospitals to become treatment locales strictly for the uninsured, and the investigation of ACORN’s voter and donation fraud charges currently in 13 states.

I’d like Malkin to notice that the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami was also a sponsor. Does this make McCain a Catholic? Does this make McCain be an ardent anti-abortion proponent? Does this make McCain a priest? No. No. And no.

Would I have rather McCain not spoken at the event sponsored by ACORN and other liberal-progressive, Soros & friends PAC, People for the American Way - YES! Do I agree with McCain’s stance on immigration - NO! But a vote for McCain is a vote against B.H. Obama and I’m taking the tactic recommended by Rush Limbaugh - “let’s drag McCain across the finishline, and we’ll work on him once we get him there.”

I’d like to see Malkin heed this advice and take a short moretorium on her opposition to McCain’s immigration policies and focus on slowing down the freight-train of socialism in this country.

P.S. I would like you to notice the well-researched story by Malkin of insane rage and violence against conservatives by the crazy left-wing nutmachine. The story provides a great deal of detail on their hate towards American Girl and people like me.

My what a double standard. “I’d like Malkin to notice that the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami was also a sponsor. Does this make McCain a Catholic? Does this make McCain be an ardent anti-abortion proponent? Does this make McCain a priest? No. No. And no.”

But raising funds for an educational project makes with someone makes Obama a terrorist. I have nothing against republicans (hey some of my favorite people are republicans, right American Girl) but this hypocrisy does not do your cause any good. You can’t say one person is guilty by association and the other person is not, just because it is not convenient.

If I were the republican strategist, I would never have gone down this Ayers road. If you are in congress for as LONG and as inside the beltway as McCain has been you are going to have associated with some pretty unsavory characters.

Fortunately voters see through it and the poll margins are widening as a result. You can brush away the crazy people showing up at McCain ralley’s as imaginings of the liberal media, but the record is there. It is on Youtube, TV, we can see and hear the lunatic fringe that makes up the republican party these days right in front of us. And it doesn’t help their cause any when Palin refuses, or is not allowed, to go on mainstream shows like the Today show. When the “liberal Media” is everything but Fox News, than it just makes you look out of touch and paranoid to the rest of the country. Let’s face it, the republicans just seem like a pretty scary bunch these days.

    Yeah, I know. I couldn’t help myself.

    Bill - stay on topic!

Topic here is McCain speaking at an ACORN event. Whooppie!

Because you’re in a delusional propaganda bubble, I can’t help you. I can only provide facts and let people use their coconuts to make up their mind. People are going to McCain rallies and standing up and saying their mad. We’re all MAD! We elected a Pres from our party who turned on our fundamental ideals. We have a moderate trying to defeat a Marxist. When I go to a rally, I’m going say I’m mad. We’re not nuts. We’re fighting for a free America where personal responsibility trumps the nanny state.

If this is crazy, you’d better sign up too.

No, the topic is guilt by association, something the aPPalin/McKlan forces are experts at, but the chickens have come home to roust .

You made your mistake 8 years ago. We are not going to let you make an even bigger one this time.
